A Whimsical Birthday Weekend: Exploring Kabini's Serai Resort

Later that day, at 2:45 PM, we set off on a thrilling boat safari. The calm waters of the Kabini River revealed a treasure trove of wildlife. A majestic female elephant (pregnant ) resting along the banks (very beautiful encounter), graceful deer grazed peacefully, and exotic birds graced us with their vibrant plumage. The anticipation peaked when we heard warning calls from langurs, a sign of a nearby tiger. We waited with bated breath but, alas, luck wasn't on our side.

* safari timings - Morning 6am to 9am

Afternoon 3pm to 6pm

*Charges 2100 per person.

*Child below 3 years is not allowed for jungle safari but boat safari can be done.

* Every child behaves differently in a different environment so be sure before booking because it's a long boat ride and can be uncomfortable and tiring for a child . Our experience was great as our baby remained calm and slept as it was her afternoon nap time.. but one thing that almost have changed the course of the ride was that she was very uncomfortable wearing the safety jacket so we had to remove it but good thing after that she was all good and comfortable in our arms so no issues.. as we held her carefully and enjoyed the whole ride .

So it's totally up to you if you wanna do it with the baby or else if you feel uncomfortable and don't want to take any risk then you can go one by one and enjoy the ride.

In my experience even by any chance you don't want to do the safari ,then also it's totally worth going there and enjoying the scenic beauty of the place and enjoy being close to nature.

August 27th, 2023 - A Birthday Fit for a Princess

Today was the day we had all been eagerly awaiting – our daughter's 2nd birthday. The morning started with a hearty breakfast, setting the tone for a day of celebration.We embarked on a journey of enchantment as we entered our beautifully decorated room when we returned after having breakfast... Balloons, decorations made with palm leaves, and a birthday cake greeted us, creating an atmosphere of pure joy..

I must appreciate the housekeeping staff for putting so much love while doing the decorations.

This place is not just about the scenic beauty and the wildlife but also the people around are so nice and humble always carrying smiles on their faces which gives a feeling of warmth around the place.

later that day we enjoyed the jacuzzi time and did in house activities like archery , basketball and enjoyed the evening tea by the river side..

August 28th, 2023 - Bittersweet Farewell

As we awoke to our final morning in Kabini, we took a leisurely stroll around the beautiful resort, savoring the tranquility and natural beauty.It was with heavy hearts that we bid adieu to this enchanting place, but we left with hearts full of gratitude for the memories created during this remarkable birthday celebration.

Conclusion:

Our journey to Kabini and our stay at The Serai Resort was nothing short of enchanting. Celebrating our daughter's 2nd birthday in this pristine wilderness was a dream come true. From thrilling wildlife encounters to the heartfelt surprises, every moment was magical.

Thank you, Kabini, and thank you, The Serai Resort, for creating a birthday celebration that will forever be etched in our hearts. This getaway was a reminder that the best moments in life are the ones we share with our loved ones. Until we meet again!

I would recommend visiting this place at least once and I'm sure you wouldn't want your vacation to end... But definitely would want to come again and enjoy the peace and beauty of nature 🙏

Roads -8/10 ( only 2 km till resort is quite bumpy but that won't hurt as it will give you the feel of being in the forest) otherwise 10

Cab accessible - yes 10/10 .

Wild life safari - 10/10 resorts can book the safari on your behalf with Jungle Lodges and Resorts as all the safaris start from there.

Child friendly - 10/10 even if you skip safaris your baby will love being in the forest and enjoy it a lot. The play area is available for children.

Rooms - 10/10 clean spacious and beautiful views

Room service - 10/10
